Coffee Club x Mirra Cupping

Dear coffee lovers,

This past weekend, we held our first cupping event of 2025! Each Coffee Club cupping brings something new to the table, and for this event, we were proud to collaborate with Mirra Coffee.

On Saturday, we gathered at Equinox Coffee in Norfolk, Virginia to experience three beautiful coffees handpicked by Will Warren, founder of Mirra Coffee.

Mirra was established in 2022 and is based in Kingston, New York. Focused on Nordic-style roasting, each roast highlights the terroir of the coffee rather than the coffee’s roasting style or processing method. According to Will, this approach brings out “the purest expression of the bean’s inherent flavor.” We certainly found this to be true.

In the cupping line-up, we tasted the Colombia Norbey Quimbayo - Pink Bourbon, Colombia Norbey Quimbayo - Caturron (both Colombian coffees were sourced from the same farm but tasted very different), and Ethiopia Daniso Horsa. We held two sessions, one at 9am and another at noon. We slurped coffees from our cupping spoons, amazed by each coffee’s complex tasting profiles. This cupping was uniquely special as it was our first collaboration, and we loved introducing Mirra Coffee to our broader community. Some enthusiastic attendees mentioned they had noticed Mirra on social media, while others had the pleasure of discovering Mirra for the first time. We all left impressed and wanting more.

We also incorporated new, additional elements to this event! We offered a post-cupping menu consisting of espresso drinks, pour-overs, and a selection of pastries from Prosperity Kitchen & Pantry curated by Semi Legit.
