Dear coffee lovers,

At the Best of Panama auction last week, a Panamanian Geisha lot from Hacienda La Esmeralda sold for a record-breaking $30,204 per kilogram. That’s more than triple last year’s record for green coffee sold at auction. Forbes reports the Esmeralda estate took home over $1.2 million after selling 60 kilograms of this exceptional coffee.

In non-coffee news, Kaytranada announced a new album, AIN’T NO DAMN WAY, and dropped the first single, “Space Invader.” Give it a listen and enjoy!

On to Weekly Roasts! For today’s new coffees, we have a balanced, washed Colombian Chiroso varietal from SlowMov in Barcelona, Spain, and a vibrant, fruit-forward blend from Fritz Coffee Company in Seoul, Korea. Let’s dive in! 👀
